National Mall Monuments Sunset Walking Tour

About this experience

This one is all on foot. You meet your guide at the Albert Einstein Memorial, 2101 Constitution Avenue NW, and walk for 2 hours while the light goes and the memorials come on. The tour is timed for sunset, so its start moves with the season. Sunset in DC falls at about 4:54 p.m. in mid-November 2026 and 4:46 p.m. in early December, and at about 8:37 p.m. in late June, per sunrise-sunset.org. Check the times for your date.

The route, per the listing: the Einstein statue first, then the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, then the Lincoln Memorial, where the guide covers Lincoln's legacy and the spot of Dr. King's “I Have a Dream” speech. Next come the Korean War Veterans Memorial and its “Freedom is Not Free” inscription, the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial by the Tidal Basin and the World War II Memorial. A view of the White House from the south follows, and the walk ends at the Washington Monument, lit against the night sky. Time on foot: the full 2 hours, with the guide at every stop.

Included, per the listing: an expert guide. Not included: tips. That keeps the price down: this is the lowest from-price of the night tours on this site, and the listing flags it as likely to sell out. It also marks the tour as wheelchair accessible. Wear shoes you can walk in for 2 hours, and bring water in summer.
